Cats are Liquid - A Light in the Shadows is a minimalist 2D platformer about a liquid cat, locked in a world she doesn't quite understand, trying to get out.
The core of your movement is simple: move, jump, and climb, with your ability to turn into liquid allowing you to squeeze through tight spaces and dash across the rooms at high speeds.
As you play, you'll discover abilities which let you interact with the world in new ways. Break down walls and float high above the obstacles, all while mastering the skill of moving like a liquid cat.
The further you progress, the closer you'll be to discovering the true purpose of these rooms. Will you ever get out?

Haven't played anything beyond the main 9 worlds, but I can say this is a great game! I only have two notable complaints, the story starts a bit slow and the blocks that follow you around can be a bit annoying, especially in later levels. Ignoring the slow start, the story is beautiful and the game plays quite well, I feel like this has some decent speed run potential as well.

there's no way for me to describe it, I just love the game, it wasn't as nostalgic as I hoped it be, since this is a childhood game, lucky me I finished the entire thing within 4 hours, but I think I could shorten the time a lil bit. unfortunately I don't understand the story all too well, but I absolutely loved the gameplay, music and even the visuals. I remember long ago when I first played the game and first finished the main world, heading straight to the extras, enamoured by the cat section

Amazing game. I liked the story, the simple style, and the levels and abilities were unique and interesting. Every comment I see below 5 stars is "Oh I can't play the game" "I can't get the controls right" "I'm too bad🥺", and that's their problem, not the game's issue. You should play it.
